Wings announces the launch of an innovative new module within its event‑management platform GetYourEvent, designed specifically for the management of membership and corporate programs.
The system enables access to exclusive services without issuing physical cards, thanks to real‑time verification performed directly on Wings’ servers through QR‑code scanning.
This highly eco‑friendly solution eliminates the need for physical membership cards, simplifying the user experience while ensuring maximum security and operational flexibility for both organizers and participants.
The first organization to adopt the new module is AIJC (International Association of Cycling Journalists), with whom Wings has enjoyed a strong and long‑standing partnership. Starting this year, AIJC has discontinued the issuance of traditional credit‑card‑style membership cards.
“AIJC has decided to transition from physical press cards to digital ones. This way, members can save their card on their mobile phone and always have it with them,” said President Raymond Kerckhoffs. “In recent years, cards were increasingly being lost during postal delivery. Wings provides us with a system through which every organizer can verify—via a unique QR code or directly on the website aijc.getyourevent.online—whether a person is an active AIJC member. This will certainly make accreditation procedures easier for both our members and event organizers.”
